The Crystal Angel merges with Mela Industries
to form TorLa International and we head off
to the Orient
Publishers Note Don't forget to move your mouse over pictures
for a description Welcome to the 6th issue of the Crystal Angel
and the first issue
with Mela as the
new
co-publisher and
Art Director. As many of our regular readers will notice,
the Crystal Angel
has a new look and
a more
cosmopolitan feel
to it. But the changes
to the Crystal Angel
go much deeper than
just the look and
feel. Throughout this issue, you will come across
underlined links
for cities, locations, attractions
and hotels. The Crystal
Angel is testing
two new applications
during August and September
- On-siteGoogle Search and WCT Travel and Destination Guides. We think this will add to our overall appeal
and keep the Crystal
Angel as the Premier
Fashion and Design
magazine for Moove and
beyond. In addition, we have added a playlist of
music which can be
activated by clicking
the "On Air"
flashing sign on the
top left of all
of our pages. Please note that most of the pages in this issue are
multimedia experiences,
so we suggest turning
your speakers on
and then waiting
to tune
in Angel Free Radio
for off-site browsing
at a later time. Speaking of music, be sure to check out our
two new videos: "Like a Rock" and "Turn the Page". You need high speed and a bit of
patience, but we
think they are worth a peek
or two. Besides the visible improvements to our web
site and new apps,
structural changes at
the Crystal Angel
have also been going on
behind the scenes. As I headed into August, it became quite
apparent that the
Crystal Angel needed a
solution to our cash
flow problem and some
fresh ideas to continue
the amazing growth
we have experienced
over the past 6 months.
We placed ads in
the Wall Street Journal,
Fortune Magazine
and few other financial
publications in our
effort to find the purrrfect
corporate partner.
After conferences with several national and
international companies,
it was plain to
see that most were
simply interested in draining
our remaining cash
reserves and that I would
lose the creative
oversight of the Crystal
Angel. I sat down with my sister, JustCallMe^^Mela, who has been a Fashion Consultant for the
magazine since its
first issue, and discussed
closing down the
magazine. "The only alternative I see, sis, is
accepting the offer
from the Russian Consortium",
Mela listened carefully, smiled and then
told me she had a
solution. "I own a
company that may
be the purrrfect fit with
the Crystal Angel",
Mela told me. "YOU
own a company?",
I replied quite shocked. Mela then shared with me the details
of Mela Industries,
an International corporation
with interests in
Precious Gems, Graphic
Design, Soft Drinks,
Luxury Performance Yachts,
and Innovative Green
Energy Technology -
and she was flush
with excess cash. We hired the Moove Financial Firm, Nestor Investments, to go over the numbers to see
if it would work
and on July 26th 2007, The
Crystal Angel merged
with Mela Industries
to form a new public
company - TorLa International
(MSE - TRLA). Flush with fresh cash, a fleet of Gulf Stream
Jets, and new General
Offices high atop the
Thorn Building in
downtown Moove, Mela and I embarked on the August Issue
of the Crystal Angel.
We spared no expense in putting together
this issue as we
visit the new TorLa International Motor Park at the Tokyo Speedway where we test out the innovative
redesigned Lacy Motorcycle
- a concept vehicle
that tops out at
200 MPH (321 KMH) and gets
more than 70 miles
to the gallon. Of course we could not leave Tokyo without
hitting the world
famous dance clubs and
making total fools
of ourselves at a local
Karaoke bar - and yes, even Tory got up on stage. From Tokyo we head to Hong Kong for the Annual Silk Auction and to visit the Fabric Market where the finest silks are offered to the
top notch designers
of Moove - and then we are off to Bangkok, Singapore and Yangon where we catch a flight to Mandalay
for our all-inclusive
Orient Express vacation. As always, the Crystal Angel (TorLa Inc.)
picked up the cost
of this vacation for all
Moove residents and to put it in technical terms....IT
WAS A FRIGGIN BLAST. We have added a few new designers as well,
and we welcome back
a few who have been on
vacation. We will
be adding the left-side
bar ads this next
week. Be sure to let me
know if you want
one. We hope you enjoy this new era in the Crystal
Angel and as always,
we look forward to your
feedback on how we
can continue to improve
the Premier Fashion
Magazine for Moove.com.
