In This Issue Welcome to the August / September Issue of
the Crystal Angel Fashion and Design Magazine
for Moove.com and beyond. The past month has been, at the very least,
mighty interesting. LOL. With our candidacy
for the White House launched, scandals in
the Chemical and Industrial Division of TorLa,
the failure of Twisted and Craftie to find
Dark Embrace followed by the dissapearance
of Craftie Lady, well...it is just a small
miracle that we were able to produce an issue
this month. The hardest part of trying to publish the
most popular online magazine for Avatars
is not being able to see everyone in Moove that we were
able to visit with
when we only published
8 or 10 issues a
year. Both Mela and I are
hoping and praying
that we will get a major
sponsor soon so we
can automate a lot of
the work required
to bring your magazine
to you every month. There are so many new and wonderful things
happening here at the Crystal Angel and in
Moove, I hardly know where to begin. We have changed out our Designer Menu to
the left to better reflect the more active
Designers in our community. Many of the most
prolific Designers of yesterday are no longer
creating or have closed down their Fashion
Houses all together. We have tried to contact
them to see if the closings are permanent.
While some did respond and are included,
some of our more favorite Designers may have
poofed for good. We will keep you up-to-date.
If you are not listed and would like to be,
just drop me a message. While we have lost some GREAT Designers,
new and amazing artists are joining those
that have decided to expand their offerings.
A day does not go by that I am not simply
in awe of the creativity and artistic genius
that exists in our wonderful community. While
we may not all see eye to eye or even get
along all of the time, the flow of creativity - like a mountain river - flows
from each of us to the other. If you sit
and just think about it and let it take over
all of your thoughts, it will really freak
you out. You can actually feel it rush through
you. Go ahead...try it. In this issue, we revist the saga of the
Beanz. From the very beginning (before we
even knew the Beanz and the Guardian existed)
our lives have been filled with adventures
as we searched for clues to explain our existence.
For those of you new to our magazine and
Moove, spending a day or two reading the
Beanz epic will really help you start to
understand who you are, why you are here
and other pixelating perplexities. (say that
three times ultra fast...LOL). Beanz Reflections
begins on Page One. Our candidacy for President of the United
States is soooo much harder than I thought
and even though we are cartoons, no one is really
paying attention - although our Video "Supergirl"
has shot up to number 6 in viewership on
the Crystal Angel Video Board. I think I did not really believe that people
would pay $1.00 to Vote for me, but I do
think that being able to have your link on
the Election Board is a really great deal. So, to help explain
why I am worth $1.00, I have listed on Page Three all the reasons you should pay $1.00 to
Vote for Tory and Mela in 2008 for a NEW
AMERICA! In this issue, we also outline our Energy
Policy and why it is a good thing to be responsible
in how we live in Real. We all need to be
more responsible, no matter what the cost
of energy is and we offer some tips on Page Two In our Designers Spotlight this month, we
take a peek into the wonderful world of "White
Wolf Studios" - a well established and
highly respected Fashion and Couture partnership
of Paccy and Lady Fire. From the latest hair
styles to custom made souls, spending a day
visiting and shopping at White Wolf is a
total joy. You may read more about White
Wolf Studios on Page Four. After losing more $380.00 from our Google
Adsense account for unknown reasons, we began
to use AdBrite in more places within the
magazine. Is it a good idea? What is up with
Google Adsense? We take a look at the good
and bad sides of both advertising tools to
help you decide which best suits your web
site. We compare and also list several other
ways you can earn money from your web site
on Page Five. Our "JAMZ Spotlight this month is on
a wonderful band called the "Melanie
Susuras Band" which comes out of Denver,
Colorado. We attend the MSB CD Release Party
at Hermans Hideaway and look into the talents
and insight of Melanie and her rocking good
time band on Page Six. In addition to our regular columnists (The
Roving Reporter, Mela's Interior Motives and Shorties by Stacia), we are excited to bring you two new columns
this month: "The Prophecy" by dReAmReApEr and and "Spanish Quarters" by our friend PrBabyGurl. Prophecy is an interactive fiction story
with many of your friends in Moove as the
characters while "Spanish Quarters"
is a column for our Spanish speaking readers.
Our Quantcast demographics are beginning
to to give us a really good picture of our
readers, and as we begin to attract more
Spanish and African American readers, we plan on
becoming more diverse in our stories, columns
and contributing writers. We really hope
you enjoy these two new columns. We sure
enjoyed them. Our spotlight city this issue is San Antonio, Texas - known as the six flag city due to it being
under the rule of six different countries.
Can you name them? Betcha can't. LOL. Other new things are also going on outside
of Moove - most notably we are checking out
the new Cuill search engine and a wonderful new Social
Networking browser called Flock. Both are very new and our team of beta-testers
are evaluating them as you read this. Be
sure to be looking for our reviews in upcoming
issues. We still are seeing great response to our
Crystal Angel Blog, our Real Shopping Mall and our always popular Search Engine. While Lethal Lita has opened her fabulous
Moove Shopping Mall and Tryad Destiny is expanding his Art Boutique, we are really working hard to try to keep
up with all the new and major kewl things
happening in our wonderful community.
