Okay...I know it was kinda silly asking for
$1.00 to vote for me as President of the
United States so I could upgrade my computers. But, I am not a good person at asking for
donations 'cause I think you should get something
in return. Yes, I know, I am what they call
a Compassionate Capitalist. So, in case I did not explain it well enough
in the last issue,
let me try once more in
a more simple way....LOL For every one dollar paid through the secure
servers at PayPal (Credit Cards accepted)
you are given a square (10x10 pixel) on our
Election Board. On your square(s) you can upload a pic,
or choose one of ours from our library. This
pic will link to your site (or the one you
choose) for a minimum of two years. So see?
For less than a cup of coffee you get a link
which helps your site on our Election Board. Still not sure if that is worth $1.00? Okay...let's
see what I am worth to see if that helps.
According to my math, my body is worth about
$4.45 USD. But that
is depending on what
the current prices
are for all the elements
in this cowgirls
body. I visited the The U.S. Bureau of Chemistry
and Soils for help in calculating the chemical
and mineral composition of my body. After
a bunch of tests, this is what they found.:
65% Oxygen
18% Carbon
10% Hydrogen
3% Nitrogen
1.5% Calcium
1% Phosphorous
0.35% Potassium
0.25% Sulfur
0.15% Sodium
0.15% Chlorine
0.05% Magnesium
0.0004% Iron
0.00004% Iodine It was also discovered that my body contains
teenie amounts of fluorine, silicon, manganese,
zinc, copper, aluminum, and arsenic. Together,
all of the above amounts to less than one
dollar of my total value My most valuable asset is my skin, which
was measured using an old Japanese method
which takes a naked person (me in this case)
and applies a strong, very thin paper to
every inch of my body. After the paper dries
they carefully remove it and cut it into
small pieces, and then use math (yuck) to
figure out the total amount of skin. If I was cut and dried I would produce about
14 square feet of skin. Basing my skin's
value on the selling price of cowhide, which
is about $.25 per square foot, the value
of just my skin is about $3.50. Much more
than my asking price of just $1.00 So exactly what will you be voting for if
you decide to dig deep into the couch to
find that elusive $1.00? Well, I think we
all know that I will not get elected as long
as there is prejudice against Avatars - Pixel
Haters as they are known as here in America.
But whether or not I get elected is really
not the important thing. Getting a new computer
to expand and grow the Crystal Angel Network
is one of the important things. Speaking
out against injustice, hatred, suffering
and cruely is the most important thing, no
matter what else happens. As I write this, a war is raging in the country of Georgia. Thousands are dead, and I feel the World is on the brink of something pretty
awful. I pray that is not the case, but all
of us must speak up. It is not whether you
are from South Ossetia, or a Russian or an
American or even from another place on our
planet - people are suffering, being killed
and driven from their homes. People just
like you and me. People made of the same
elements as we all are. I know everyone loves their country, but
it is not the flag we should love; it should
be the beliefs which each Country was built
upon that we honor. People do not make wars,
Governments do. We must speak out, all of
us - black, white, green, brown, or purple
- it does not matter. We are Humans. We are
individuals who, if we speak with one voice
loud enough, can change things. Regardless of where you live or what you
believe or what flag
waves above you, we
must never stop praying
for Peace and to
relieve the suffering
of so many everywhere.
So, while my running
for President is kind
of silly, the message
is not. Love one another,
Pray for Peace and
practice Forgiveness,
Tolerance and Understanding.
It may seem
a simple thing, but
it is the foundation
of Love.
