One cold winter day in Moove last month,
I had a visit from
a friend who wanted
to
sit and talk. As
is the habit of Angels,
I could not refuse.
My friend began to tell me about a new magazine
Mark Anthony was
planning and she
had come
as an ambassador
to see if I thought
Moove
could handle two
magazines - and to
see if
it might hurt my
feelings if another
Moove
magazine hit the
newstands..
I thought that was very kind of her and Mark,
although really,
it was not neccessary.
Moove is our community, and the more exposure
we can get for Moove,
the better it is for
all of us.
In the following weeks she contacted me often,
for a bit of help - domain names, hosting,
and advertising. I did not do much, but that
did not hamper my excitement and anticipation
on the birth of a new magazine for Moove.com
I was offered a sneak peek just before the
first issue of the
Kit Kat Magazine was to
be published. I then
reread it again, and
again, and again.
LOL. Okay, maybe 9 times,
but that is it, I
promise.
Unfortunatly, the Crystal Angel cannot link
to the Kit Kat, due to the graphic nature
of the content (the people who give me free
hosting for the Crystal Angel are very clear
about me linking or publishing pictures of
our private treasures, even if we are just
Avatars). note: You can get to the Kit Kat
by clicking here to visit the board announcement.
We instead decided to do a full no-holes-barred
(uhm, that is just
a figure of speech)
review
of the racey publication
for our regular
readers. Unlike the
Kit Kat, this review
can be read by those
under 18.
Let's first talk about the concept. It is
obvious Moove has
a sexual energy that
flows
through its virtual
veins. A quick look
at
the names of the
Clubs on the Community
page
will attest to that. Eroticism and sex, like
in Real, are quite evident in our community.
So why not a magazine that focuses on our
desires and fantasies? Why not indeed.
I once had a person come into the Crystal
Angel Offices and
just go bananas,
telling
me that the Crystal
Angel was stupid,
and
that Moove was all
about sex - that
no one
wanted to read about
slumber parties or
fashion.
I took the comments as I would if someone
came to me in Real
and said that Real is
all about sex and
why are you wasting your
time growing flowers
or oil painting.
I do not believe Moove is just about sex,
but I am not so naive that I do not think
that we are all sexual beings and the thought
of being in Moove and getting frisky crosses
most of our minds at some point. So, I believe
the concept is a good one and a sound business
venture IF done right.
While Mark Anthony could have shown his gorgeous
stable of models
engaging in more
than modeling,
he chose to show
off the beauty of
the female
body in an elegant
and respectful manner.
Now I am sure some
will holler that
it degrades
women (we have heard
a lot of that lately
on another front), but the female body is a
cornucopia of softness, curves, and hidden
treasures. I do not believe this Angels boss
really cares if we hide what he created us
with or if we show it off to the whole world.
But that is just my opinion.
The models (Aurora, Chastity, Rayna, Di,
Lotus, and Roze),
that Mark has gathered
can be described
with just one word...YUMMY!.
I would rather watch these gifts of beauty
than the "Girls Next Door", any
day. The one gripe I have would be that I
would love to see an Asian model grace the
pages of Kit Kat.
If there was one area that I would be jealous
of it is the quality
of writing of the
Kit
Kat. Rayna has always
had a gift for writing
and her 10 Valentines
Day gift ideas showcases
her writing experience
while Chastity-Nite
offers a sensual
journey into an evening
fantasy, and excels
in her hard-hitting
interview
with Kit Kat CEO,
Mark Anthony.
But Chastity and Rayna are not the only literary
members of the Kit
Kat. Mark Anthony
jumps
into the fray by
compiling a review on Pearl Jam and Diva Di's article on "Slavery
by Choice" tackles the contentious subject
of self-chosen slavery in Moove. This is
a top-notch team of writers.
While the team of models and writers are
second to none, I
was disappointed
in the
layout and the text
size of some of the
articles.
Even for this 20/20
vision diva, the
small
text on articles
such as "Lotus
The
Love Goddess",
made enjoying the
wonderful
writing difficult
and bordering on
a chore.
Mark has committed
to correcting this
in
the next eagerly
awaited issue of
Kit Kat.
My only other complaint on this wonderful
new addition to the
newsstands is the
presumption
that somehow only
frisky boyz should
be reading
the Kit Kat. As stated
in the magazine,
"We want to make it clear from the very start,
we aren't a "family
magazine."
If you're somebody's
sister, wife or mother-in-law, are reading this by mistake and feel offended,
please pass us along
to the man in your life
and get back to your
Ladies Home Journal
Companion. Uhm.....helloooooo, I hate to say this,
but not all girls
like to look at boyz
and
even some...OMGAWD,
like other GIRLS!
............LMBO.
But with the exception of that one faux paux,
the Kit Kat is a
stellar endeavor
and worthy
of a read or nine.
smiles. Mark Anthony
and
his team of Kitty's
should hold their
heads
up high and be proud
of their creation.
We
at the Crystal Angel
have no doubt that
the
Kit Kat Magazine
will be around for
a long
time offering both
boyz and GIRLS a
glimpse
of fantasy and eroticism.
