The Color of
Night never
goes out of style
by Crystal Angel Fashion Editor If Moove had a soundtrack, one of the top
songs on the hit parade would Back in Black
by AC/DC. Everywhere you turn, your bound
to find some Moove resident donning the colors
of the night. As most of the top designers will tell you,
black never goes out of style, and is both
appropriate for day wear as well as in the
evening While black always looks great in leather
and vinyl, it also sets a fashion statement
in velvet, lace and silk - and is easily
matched with almost any color. A true Moove
lady should have at least four complete black
outfits in her closet. Black designs are easy to find in almost
any Designer Shop , but deciding what looks
best gracing your body is a personal choice
- do you really want to look a biker wannabe?
As with all Moove fashion choices, make your
own style and forge your own path. In an
effort to find our favorite black outfits,
the Crystal Angel did what any true fashion
magazine would do - WE WENT SHOPPING! Our first stop was Wayas and we were delighted
to find a gorgeous embroidered two piece
in black and soft gray with matching bowtie.
Whether at the Country Club or at the Barn
Dance, the skirt and vest offer a classic
western look infused with just enough city
pizazz to turn heads, We added the Waya basic
black top as well as black evening gloves
and an understated pearl bracelet as to not
detract from the delicate hand - embroidered
design. Under the silk lined skirt we added C@ndis
spiked short stud boots which raises the
skirt about 3 inches higher than the designer
intended, although the unique length works
with this one-of-a-kind design. The vest can be worn seperately and looks
great with a white cotton blouse, bolo and
a pair of black Wranglers. We then drove across town to Vallian Vice's
Midnight Emporium. The Midnight Emporium is not a ladies shop,
but every Moove lady knows that great designs
at bargain prices can be found anywhere.
We picked up a pair of studded armbands for
$50 and seven pairs of sunglasses for $1000.00.
The coolest thing we found at Vallians was
a conversion tool to change mens pants into
skin tight ladies pants. Yummmy! Just down the street from Vallians Emporium
is the Wal-Mart sized retail outlet of C@ndi Sinz. At C@ndi's we found a fantastic cat-suit
outfit and boots to match. C@ndi offers a
wide range of tops and bottoms (as well as
a wonderful selection of boots) in basic
black, as well as some of the most elegant
metal and black boot designs anywhere. Our next stop was to Le Chic Boutique - the first franchise we have located in
Moove. We dropped a huge wad of cash (more
than $1300.00) and had our order filled by
Lita herself. We really liked the personal attention Lita gave us and once our list of our purchases
was complete, Lita quickly filled our order and we were on
our way. We could have easily spent our whole
budget at Le Chic Boutique as Lita offers a huge selection of apparel and lingerie. I really loved the Butterfly top with green
highlights with matching bowtie and open
evening gloves. With the basic black full
length velvet skirt, the small touch of green
on the top draws the eye to the breasts and
shows enough skin to be tasteful but darn
sexy. The versatility of Litas designs are second
to none. We matched her black corsett with
her black bowtie and open chain gloves with
a pair of faded black wranglers off the rack
for a quick sexy outfit that is purrfect
for that casual outing at the horse track. Although we were on the hunt for black outfits
for this article, I could not help but fall
in love with Lita's swimming suits. I bought
a wondeful and very tiny suit with matching
cover for what seemed like a steal. The pattern
is tropical with a black base without being
flamboyant. Lita's swim suits are guaranteed
to turn heads whether you are at the Country
Club or at the beach. In addition to some of the most fashionable
day and evening wear, Le Chic Boutique offers a wide range of lingerie and teddys
for those special moments. With our budget quickly dwindling, we decided
to go visit Angeleyezs (from last months
edition) and see what was new in her Angels
Boutique and were warmly greeted by Angel
herself. Angels Boutique is still one of our favorites
and the hospitality and girl talk is worth
the visit by themselves, but Angel showed
us a wonderful jumpsuit in black satin I
just had to have. With a tiny bit of purple
for highlights and new cut for the top, it
is selling like hotcakes at the County Fair
Pancake Breakfast - and for the paltry sum
of $400.00, it was a steal. Angel has begun a line of body suits that
hug and display every curve on your body
and are major comfy too. For the Moove lady
on a shopping spree, Angels Boutique is still
a must stop and shop haven for top of the
line fashions. With our budget blown, our shopping spree
had come to a close, but we still needed
a few designs to show that the Moove lady
need not drop $3000.00 to look hot in black.
We went back to the Studio to see what we
could find. By combining a great sheer body suit designed
by my Auntie Michelle, boots by C@ndi and
a mini skirt in basic black, we were able
to make an outfit for clubbing that is sexy
without being too slutty. The two piece body
suit makes those trips to the powder room
much easier than the one piece, and the nipple
chains worn on the outside make for some
interesting comments and looks from frisky
boys on the hunt for a some evening delight Black does not always need to be the dominant
color when dressing up for a night on the
town. Using black as a base color allows
an infinite number of fashion possibilities.
We combined the school girl blouse with a
beaded skirt from Angels Boutique - added
a pair of stilleto heeled boots from C@ndi
and a fem tie for a sexy school girl look.
Ahem...the boys love this look for some silly
reason, and frankly so do I. We could have gone pages and pages with the
great fashions in black we found from top
designers and the up and coming fashion movers,
but with the deadline for getting the magazine
to the presses by the due date, we had to
finish this piece. Hopefully, we have been
able to show you that Black is indeed Back and the designers of Moove are
giving us what we want - hot, sexy, elegant
designs in black. We have just presented the tip of the iceberg
in black designs and have in no way shown
all the wonderful designs offered by the
Moove Fashion Elite, so grab your credit
card, and get out to do some shopping. You
will be amazed, as I was, at the creative
minds of Moove working to make sure that
black is a color for all seasons.
