Fun in the Sun with the top Cruise Wear Fashions
and thier Amazing Designers
by Crystal Angel Fashion Editor Saturday 12:17 PM
When the Crystal
Angel decided
to throw a
free Cruise
for all the
Designers that have made this magazine the most widely
read fashion rag on the planet, we had no
idea of the amount of work and planning a
Cruise would require. With Angel away recuperating,
I needed some professional help and I knew
where I had to go to find this help - Victor Dennett. Planning a Cruise for 200 people is more
than just getting tickets and reserving rooms
for these wonderful guests - it also includes
planning the activities, shore trips and
insuring the food and beverages are of the
highest quality...and much more. Thank God
for Vic. Angel One (our private jet), kept busy as
we flew around the world to our pick up locations
and safely delievered our Designers to the
San Diego Port where the Tahitian Princess
was docked. The Tahitian Princess usually departs from
Papeeta, Tahiti, but with some sweet talk and a major wad
of cash, we reserved the Princess Cruise
ship for the full 14 days allowing us to
depart from California. As our guests arrived, it became apparent
that the word of our Cruise leaked out to
the Fashion World's fans, and a crowd gathered
to catch a glimpse of Mooves famous Designers
and their fans. With red carpet treatment the Fashion Elite
arrived in style. The first to arrive was
Paccy and Lady Fire in a sleek bright red limo which also carried
Secretwords and Waya....the crowd went crazy. Vallian Vice, Dems, MoonRaven, Rex, SnugglyLisa, and Capt Troy
arrived by helicopter, direct from KY's and
JoJo wedding. Ky and JoJo arrived shortly
after in a beautiful white stretched limo. The next to arrive were new designer Mela with SmoothHands followed by the reclusive
Legalos - creator of the Legalos Toolbars.
The most unique arrival was Dark Embrace and Livid Damnation in a custom hearse that reminded me of the
old Munsters car. The crowd really seemed
to like this pair of designers as they tossed
black roses and confetti and cheered like
there was no tomorrow. Following Dark Embrace and Livid Damnation were RastaGirl, SabreWolf, room Designers Heatherr and Catmoritz as well as Moove wedding planner, Munich Doll.
As the host, Victor Dennett was superb as
he greeting each designer with a warm "Welcome
Aboard" and handed each lady a red rose
and a gift bag full of wonderful gifts. I waited as long as I could to greet the
remaining designers (*Fire Aragedon*, *Dragon
Krull*, *Lethal Lita*, *Maggymay25* and MaleDotCom,
Matti, Cindy2, Pav-Lana, *SkyeBlue*, *Wicked~SinZ*,
Stuntman, WickerWoman) and others who arrived
at the last minute. Unfortunatly, I had to
leave the dock and begin preparing for the
"WELCOME ABOARD PARTY", Victor assured me he would make sure
all were on board the ship safely - and staying
busy helped me keep my blond headed brain
from getting rattled for missing Angeleyzs
so much. Planning for the Formal Dance was made much
easier by my Auntie Princess Rayden, who
is an expert at planning and throwing shindigs.
Her popular Moove Club, Dallas Lights, has
been the party capitol for Moove since I
first arrived - including the launch party
for this mag and my engagement party.
After checking in with Princess Rayden and
finding everything on track, including booking
Robert Earl Keen and John Prine for the dance, I headed down to my suite
to clean up, check my Blackberry for messages
and return a few calls. I was dissapointed
that my dear friend and top notch designer,
C@ndi Sinz would not be able to make it.
I then checked in to see how Angeleyezs ws
feeling. As wonderful as all the Designers are, competition
in the Fashion World is deep, and one of
the responsibilities I had was making sure
that competing Designers kept a distance
from each other. By carefully scheduling
dinner times, seating arrangements as well
as berthing them at opposite ends of the
ship, I was hoping to avoid any debates on true originals versus modified
designs. I double checked all the arrangements,
changed and went to a hidden tavern on the
ship for a nice cold beer. (shhhh, don't
tell my Mom or Dad). Sitting at the bar was Sabrewulf, who is
one of the more reclusive Designers in Moove.
Although I always thought he was shy, we
wound up having a wonderful chat as we toasted
frothy yummy Guinness and talked about his
new designs. Soon Lady Rayden and Rider showed
up and sat down with us and more Guinness
was downed. I am not a big drinker so the
strong Irish beer kinda knocked me for a
loop. The last thing I remember was dancing with
Sabre, Rider and Lady Rayden on the table
to Nickleback. I woke up with only two hours
to go before the big formal welcome aboard
party, and anyone who knows me knows it takes
about three hours to make me look good. I
frantically searched for my Rasta Formal
Gown, took three aspirin and put on my make-up. After calling Victor and Princess Rayden
to make sure all was going well, I headed
down to the Ballroom to greet our guests..
