About the Resort Update This Info

Sprawled across four mountains with nearly 3,000 acres, Winter Park features some of the best skiing in Colorado. Winter Park averages 349 inches of snowfall annually, more than any other major Colorado resort. The Winter Park Mountain features everything from groomed trails for beginners to steeps and bumps for the expert. Skiing Magazine ranks Mary Jane, the wilder side of the mountain, #1 in bumps while Vasquez Cirque takes riders above tree line to steep pitches and untouched powder.

Winter Park Resort is one of the largest and most frequently visited ski resorts in the United States. It is also the closest major resort to Denver, just 90 minutes from downtown. Winter Park is family-friendly and affordable, which is why year after year the resort proudly reclaims its title as “Colorado’s Favorite.”

Recent Improvements

For the 2005-06 season, Winter Park Resort showcases some dramatic new improvements on the slopes and to mountain restaurants. More than $9 million has been on capital improvements; $7 million of that on Mary Jane Mountain. From a new high-speed six-pack chairlift to replace the Summit Express, enhanced tree skiing and riding, a completely refurbished Club car Restaurant and better on-mountain signage, Mary Jane Mountain will be entering her 30th season in style. To further celebrate, an all season-long birthday party including more live music on the weekends, contests and promotions will be going on. Don't miss out on the party of the year! Visit www.skiwinterpark.com for more information.
